The 2004-05 season was Yao Ming's third season in the NBA. The 7'6" Center set an All-Star record in early 2005 when the final All-Star votes were tabulated. With 2,555,578 total votes, Yao set a record for most All-Star votes in a single season. The 2005 All-Star Game in Denver was Yao's third consecutive appearance in the February showcase. The Rockets were originally born in San Diego, with the name paying homage to San Diego's theme of "a city in motion." After relocating to Houston in '71, the team kept their Rockets name given Houston's connection to the space industry. The team has undergone 5 logo changes since their inception in '67.
