The 2000-01 Clippers debuted a new and slightly different look when they took the court at the start of the season. The biggest differences were that the blue was more dominant than it had been, and there was a new font for the players name on the back of the jersey. The 00-01 Clippers were a young team with exciting new players including Lamar Odom, Corey Maggette, Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson. The Clippers started out in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, before relocating and rebranding as the San Diego Clippers in '78. This was in reference to the sailing ships that can be seen in San Diego Bay. The team finally settled in Los Angeles in '84.
